I'm going to talk about pattern nonetheless it doesn't always show up but you can often find it is there around.
So, i have my own interpretation concerning the meaning of stupidity.
Stupidity isn't about the capacity of one's brain nor the capability of anything. Stupidity is an utter condition. No one has ever been born as a stupid since anyone could only be stupid by their own decision. Stupidity is a sort of situation where one's refusing to understand regarding anything they don't although they should, such a condition where one's stop exploring for they are easy to please, easy to be satisfied of themselves, excusing themselves in what they are incapable of, and one more condition of being stupid, blaming fate is the stupidest of all. And the explanation in this paragraph only applies toward mankind.
Being stupid is an option for me, always an option.
So, i have a great friend that went into an education university, and he involved in some kind of a government program for teacher recruitment. The program obliged the applicants to be placed all over Indonesian remote territories with lower level of education compared to the Indonesian education standard, or perhaps majority's standard of worldwide education. My friend decided to be placed in one tiny strand village on a tiny islet in Raja Ampat Islands of Papua. He had stocks of marvelous experiences when he was there, and his story about education of his service location is the one that intrigued me the most.
It takes 3 nights on the ocean to travel to the islet from the nearest town that provided a dock, and the village only provided an elementary and a junior high school. The whole six grades of elementary school has only a total amount of 113 students, now you can imagine how tiny that village is. Well it may be said that the place has numerous issues in both the elementary and junior high school whether it's about the administration processes or the physical demands, that many it will take an extra blogpost to illustrate the whole details. Well, i will mention one of the most vital problem of that place.
So yes, the area has a school, but you wanna know what?
The school has no teacher.
Well yes actually there is always someone who get the credit for being a teacher there, but the local teacher has no integrity and the will to be any. They always go to the school only for TWICE a year. TWICE IN A FUCKING YEAR. So this elementary school is actually having no teacher, yet the junior high school teacher is there. And although they are actually capable of taking the position, they don't, since they only come to the school for twice in a fucking year. Then my friend finally took the job of temporarily handling both the elementary and the junior high school with a lot of obstacles for he was ordered to teach only in the junior high school.
The comprehension of the students is so low that it turned a formal education into a mere crude formality. My friend even found a 7th grade student who was unable to read. And do you know when was my friend there? He just went home about i don't know perhaps a month ago from one year duty. A little shocking right? Knowing the gap between what you are and what they are, and it's currently still happening.
But in spite the whole lack and the whole fulfillment of everything, the kids still go to school, with much more burning spirit than most of students my friend had ever seen in moderate cities.
Being unable to read is never included into stupid for me as long as one is still pursuing to learn how to.
So this is the pattern i mentioned on the opening part of this post that, well, maybe majority does tell it but i don't know why it's still happening.
I met a lot of stupids for my whole life, and i admit that i often being one too.
The pattern is, the more comfortable your life is, the more you are likely being a stupid.
So, let me get that clarified. I wasn't talking about something universal, the pattern doesn't always apply to everybody but you can often meet a lot. I'm talking about those who can only whine about their incapability and giving no fuck at finding the way out for they are used to get everything so easily, those who just give everything up once they failed, those who haven't found and still don't want to find how valuable science is, those who easily sorry themselves for what they are, those who are still waiting the others to do what they should do, those who are stupid.
Now, there are 2 basics necessities, material and non-material. The area of where one lives shown tendency of which one is priority. The ones that live in insufficiency (the scale referred to the most updated needs with modern life) tend to only need to fulfill their non-material necessity since the material ones don't always stand as a demand in their lives. And the ones that live in adequacy tend to be need to fulfill their material necessity first in order to fulfill the non-material necessity, and i'll say that it's quite dangerous for people often mistook in distinguishing between desire and need, because by so it turned them spoiled, and they also became the slave of greed, they excuse themselves for their mistakes since they are spoiled, they think they are what they are, and this is the point where they turned stupid, when one's after material necessity.
Well, i'm gonna say that okay that was your money but why would you pick a motherfucking cab when you can just walk since it's not that far? How could you spend a motherfucking bundle of your parent's money to buy make ups? And keep buying the same thing with different brand? Is it that hard to remember what reality we are living in? It's not that easy to get a motherfucking job that earns, don't be so easy on wasting your money, and even worse your parent's money.
You might think that this topic is starting to be irrelevant right? Well i included refusing to understand as a stupidity remember?
Don't be stupid and think about it, you don't need to lose what you have to realize how lucky you are.
And an example of mistake we all, including me, probably have conducted and still doing, giving up on studying then getting bad grades then just let go. You excused yourself for your incapability? Weren't you so spoiled? I don't think i need to fucking give you the details regarding the condition of those children in Papua and what they do right?
I can guarantee that you are lucky enough if you're reading this very sentence.
